A few days before archery season last fall, I received my first Bow Spider system—and it completely changed the way I hunt.
On a four-day backpack trip, I packed in with my old setup and packed out using the Bow Spider. I’ve never looked back. I’ve run it on a 7,800 cu in pack, a 2,000 cu in day pack, and everything in between. It’s versatile, secure, and works with both standard and extended straps.

I purchased a Bow Spider a while back and finally had the opportunity to run it on a hunt in Idaho this year. I truly put it to the test—and it performed flawlessly in every situation.
I covered miles of trails through timber and thick brush, even navigating some steep, cliffy terrain where having both hands free made all the difference. While the other guys were constantly carrying their bows in one hand, mine was secure and out of the way, yet quick and easy to remove when I needed it.
It also proved itself on miles of single-track dirt bike trails, handling some pretty extreme riding without issue. I couldn’t have been more impressed with how well it stayed put and performed.
I would absolutely recommend Bow Spider to any archery hunter looking for a secure, reliable, and hands-free system in the field.

I bought the Complete Bow Spider Kit at TAC in Pennsylvania, planning to use it on my Colorado elk backpack hunt—and it proved its worth immediately.
After running it through TAC in Pennsylvania and Park City, I trusted it. But Colorado sealed the deal. Twice we went off trail into steep, slick terrain chasing elk, and having both hands free was critical. Bow Spider kept my bow secure so I could safely climb without risking damage to my Hoyt.
On long hikes, I could grab water or check OnX without juggling my bow. I’ve since mounted it on my pack, my truck headrest, and even my saddle belt—no hoist rope needed.

I’ve hunted from Africa to South America and everywhere in between, and I can honestly say Bow Spider has become essential gear.

My Bow Spider mount was the talk of the Broken Bow Total Archery Challenge—it was hands down the best piece of gear I brought.
I mounted the receiver on the back of my bino harness, and while hiking between targets, I honestly forgot I was even carrying my bow. It was that comfortable and secure. Everywhere I went, guys kept saying the same thing: “I’m getting one of those for next year.”
